Dr. Jay Apte, is one of the most experienced Ayurvedic doctors in the US with more than 35 years of experience practicing Ayurveda. She has helped thousands of people overcome chronic illnesses through diet and life-style counseling and modifications.
“My Clients were my inspiration to create Ayurfoods” says Dr. Jay. She continues “No matter how much I preached about eating healthy, fresh food, they don’t do it because they don’t have time to cook fresh foods. Few of my clients get Panchakarma (a 7 day cleansing program) done in the morning to rejuvenate their bodies and eat pizza or junk food in the evening. Working women want to follow Ayurvedic life style but choose TV dinners and processed foods because of their busy schedule and limited choices for healthy food available in the market. Young, college going patients, while taking classes related to Nutrition or health, live on frozen or fast foods. Every day I see people making wrong food choices. I was therefore determined to find the solution to all these problems”.
